Tubal Blockage
Fallopian tube blockage causing infertility is a common cause of infertility in women. Tubal factor infertility incidence is increasing and this calls for immediate attention of Ayurveda to deal with treatment of blockage without any surgery.
The fallopian tubes are the thin tubes on both the side of the uterus. The tube acts as a pathway for the mature eggs to reach uterus for fertilization. If there is any obstruction in the path it leads to it is called blocked fallopian tube. The blockage may be in either or both the tubes. Such a situation leads to infertility and it accounts for almost 40% of infertility cases in women.
After each menstrual cycle an egg is released from the ovaries. The egg travels through the tubes into the uterus. The egg and sperms usually meet while travelling through the fallopian tube.
If one of the tube is blocked the egg may get fertilized depending upon the functioning of the ovaries the cause of blockage but if both the tubes are blocked it is impossible for a woman to get pregnant. Sometimes the tubes are totally blocked and at times they are partially blocked. There is a risk of tubal pregnancy or ectopic pregnancy in such cases.
In Ayurveda it is referred to pittaja yoni vyapada. Yonivyapad is compared with infection of reproductive organs.
